Vitamin D contributes to:
● Normal absorption and utilization of calcium and phosphorus
● A normal blood calcium level
● The maintenance of normal bones
● Maintaining normal muscle function
● Maintaining normal teeth
● A normal function of the immune system
● A normal cell division
This is where your own safe self-sufficiency reaches its limits: High doses of vitamin D are an intervention in the biochemistry of the body – and therefore by no means harmless with a view to a possible overdose! They should therefore only be taken over a longer period of time under expert therapeutic supervision and are therefore usually also approved as medicinal products. In order not to damage your body and to be on the safe side, you follow the recommendations of the German Society for Nutrition and use dietary supplements with 800 IU per day or a weekly depot with 5,600 IU such as Vitapas D. Here, the amount of vitamin D is chosen so that a vitamin K supply through the diet is absolutely sufficient and no additional vitamin K is required.
